- I am a mother of two amazing boys. I have spent the last twenty years married to the love of my life and working at Hewlett Packard in Corvallis. In April of 2009 I was given the opportunity to leave HP and start a new career. Currently I am going to college in pursuit of a Bachelor in Communication Studies with a double minor of Business and Entrepreneurship. When I left HP, I had planned to continue my education in the Medical field. However, life has a way of changing. My mother-in-law was in a horrible accident over the summer and suddenly I remember why I didn’t finish my education in the first place. It turns out I may still have a few issues with mortality, but more than anything I just want people to be healthy and happy. Unfortunately, healing takes time and I am too impatient to wait and devastated when the outcome is something less then optimal. So after getting excited about a job I didn’t get, I realized that my HP and personal experience would best be complemented by a degree in Communication Studies with a minor in Business.

Rita, I liked this video. I have never seen this before. It makes you think doesn't it...
ReplyDeleteI saw this video at my church...pretty relevant as you think about how "traditional" institutions will effectively reach out to a generation living in a world that very few of us would have imagined 25 years ago.
